The Department of Biology and Environmental Science is part of the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. The research activities within this multidisciplinary department include the areas of aquatic ecology, cell and organism biology, evolutionary biology, microbiology, environmental science and environmental engineering as well as disease ecology.
Job description:
The Environmental Science and Engineering Group (ESEG) is an active researching group in the Department of Biology and Environmental Science at Linnaeus University. The ESEG is leading and working with many European and local projects concerning wastewater and waste treatment and recycling/recovery of valuables, remediation of oil and trace elements contaminated solid media such as glass, soil and sediments and much more. Chemical, physical and biological methods and analyses are used through the activities of these projects.
The candidate shall be responsible for the technical project management and timing of all activities in the project and provide administrative support in grant preparation forms and administrative forms; assist all WP and partners leaders; conduct seminars/meetings on to PP and internal staff; coordinate Linnaeus Eco-Tech international environmental conference; ensure the involvement of the Heads of the appropriate internal research support structures; prompt liaison with the coordination team for the implementation of further risk mitigation strategies and preparation of the physical interim and final reports.
Requirements:
To be qualified for the position, you have a MSc. in Civil Engineering or MSc in Environmental Engineering in addition. The applicant should have documented knowledge and experience in: computer science and computer programmes, the field collaborative experience in Environmental Studies based on the Triple Helix concept, project assistant experiences for EU Funded projects, experience in project reporting and administrative tasks related to EU funded projects.
Furthermore writing conference/scientific papers, organisation of courses, seminars and international conferences, fluent Swedish and English in both writing and speaking, working knowledge of other languages (the Baltic languages) is an advantage.
Multinational company/ academy working experience is preferable.

Extent and location of the position
Located in Kalmar. Indefinite period, We apply a six-month probationary period, 100%.
