As we strongly believe in the bioeconomy and want to secure our competitive raw material supply in the long term, we have acquired forest assets in Bergvik Skog AB. The transaction is a natural next step for us and increases further the need for communication around the forest.Communication Manager Wood Supply We are seeking for a Communication Manager, Stora Enso Wood Supply to work form either Stockholm or Helsinki. The position holder will drive and execute communications work in Wood Supply. She/he will have direct reporting line to Head of Public Affairs.TasksYour main task will be to actively contribute in creating Stora Enso’s communications related to forests, forest operations, wood use, forest related sustainability questions and forest’s impacts in climate change mitigation. You will plan, execute, monitor and report on communications and public affairs activities in Wood Supply to secure synergies and alignment in Wood Supply Units communication activities. You will also drive internal communication across Wood Supply units and coordinate Wood Supply external communication in close cooperation with Wood Supply Finland/Press Finland and Wood Supply Sweden/Press Sweden and Wood Supply Unit management in Russia and Baltic countries. Aligned with the Groups agenda, you will implement and develop the communications and public affairs roadmap for Wood Supply. Your responsibilities will include:·      Contribute to the group’s Public Affairs agenda in forest related issues. Propose and support in actions targeted towards decision makers’ and other stakeholders aligned with the group strategy. Monitor the policy development in the forest area·      Proactive internal and external communication including: development and production of high-quality communication material, project management (such as organizing events), collect and facilitate ideas from the organization based on the communication agenda. Convey messages/ publish external articles·      Develop and update digital communication channels·      Support Stora Enso and Wood Supply marketing communication in different regions·      Crisis communication. Develop Q&As, collection of facts, support, etc.·      Support in media relations and media monitoring. Reactive handling of media (trade- and local) inquiries·      Handle general requests and inquiries related to Wood Supply operations ·      Handle sponsoring opportunitiesRequirementsTo succeed in this role, you have an academic degree in Business, Communications or other relevant field and a solid background in communications and experience of public affairs and media relations, as well as proven experience of project management. You are result oriented, with a hands-on approach and experience of managing crises. You also have a proactive approach and passion to influence through efficient communication and are an excellent skilled communicator both in writing and verbally.Moreover, you are a team player with ability to work individually, with an interest in and knowledge in forestry and the bio economy. You have a wide understanding of sustainability communication, including climate and biodiversity questions, as well as experience of stakeholder relations and NGO contacts. You have excellent skills in both English and Swedish, additional language skills are considered a merit.
