We are a small company with some new and exciting product formulations we aim to take to the market during next year.Job Summary Global sourcing manager to be responsible for the Company’s end to end sourcing of products and services essential for the Company’s operations. In addition, the Employee will be responsible for all phases of sourcing that require the skills necessary to identify design and development of products, cost saving opportunities, create competitive environments, creatively negotiate, generate supplier contracts to assure seamless availability of all products to support the Company objectives. Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesTake overall responsibility for the strategic sourcing management goals of the Company and implement action items to ensure that those goals are achieved.Manage and mentor staff encouraging professional growth & development.Responsible for negotiations for best possible cost service guarantee and develop “win-win” strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers. Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industrial cost models. Implement supplier agreements/contracts when beneficial by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions. Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers.Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities.Identify, develop and maintain existing and new supplier relationships (trade shows, supplier meetings, conferences, etc.).Participate in establishing short-term and long range planning and budget development of the Company to support strategic business goals.Develop a supplier management program with key suppliers including metrics, performance goals and improvement initiatives Establishes purchasing policies and ensures compliance within the department Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization Lead department to develop forecasts for future demand and place orders in a timely fashion based upon vendor lead-time Develop and implement sourcing and supplier selection strategy domestically and internationally as applicable. Excess and Obsolescence management Oversee staffing/recruiting/training/coaching of direct reports including performance reviews as and when applicable in the line of expertise.Education and Experience ProfileBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or Technical field or equivalent experience requiredMinimum of 15 years combined Supplier Management, Global Sourcing, Commodity Management, Program/Project Management, Finance, and/or Manufacturing Operations experience in a manufacturing environment.Proven negotiating skills, team leadership/management skills, and project leadership experience required.Strong analytical skills.International Business Experience.Experience managing suppliers outside of Sweden strongly desired.Considerable knowledge of sources of supply, markets, price and commodity trends with ability to accurately predict/anticipate marketplace events and develop action plans that anticipate/prevent implementation challenges.Required SkillsExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenIntermediate to advanced level presentation and spreadsheet skills.Skilled at effectively interfacing with employees at all levels in the organization.Proven ability to provide leadership through influence.Able to facilitate dynamic, cross-functional groups.Able to management multiple projects successfully.Strong business acumen.Proficient in the use of Microsoft office computer systems and applicationsAbility to travel up to 20% of the time.The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this job/classification.
