Logistics Engineer
Process Development Logistics is growing, and we are expanding further with one Logistics Engineer. Are you looking for a new challenge and want to establish a new role that can take our business to the next level? Then you should join our Logistics Team as our new Logistics Engineer. In your role you will develop the department to meet future needs in terms of processes, KPI´s to evaluate effectiveness, and routines. You will act as our primary expert in logistics business procedures and supporting systems.
Main Responsibilities:
• Review contractual commitments, customer specifications, or related information to determine logistics or support requirements.
• Analyze and optimize integrated logistics business processes and provide recommendation for improvements.
• Drive and develop a culture of continuous improvements and establish new processes in our Quality Management System
• Analyze or interpret logistics data involving CPM, Sales, Purchasing, Production and Logistics (inventory, transportation, warehousing).
• Identify cost-reduction or process-improvement logistic opportunities
• Conduct logistics studies or analyses, such as time studies, zero-base analyses, rate analyses, network analyses, flow-path analyses, or supply chain analyses
• Create models or scenarios to predict the impact of changing circumstances, such as fuel costs, road pricing, energy taxes, or carbon emissions legislation.
• Review global, national, or regional transportation or logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency or minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities.
You have an engineering degree or equivalent in Machine / Automation or Industrial Economics with a focus on supply chain with 1-3 years of work experience. You are analytical and structured as well as a good communicator and like to interact with others.
Your personal qualities are just as important. You are team player, social, self-motivated and likes to take major responsibility. You are used to present proposals for problem solving based on your analyses and facts.
