Vestas North & Central Europe is a sales business unit covering Scandinavia, UK, Ireland, Poland, the Baltics, Germany, Benelux as well as Eastern Europe and south of Africa. We are responsible for the Sales function, Project, Installation and Service of wind farms throughout these regions. The Construction department oversees all wind farm projects from start to completion. The team takes responsibility for a wind farm once a contract has been signed - and remains responsible until the final tests are completed. Working closely with the logistics, procurement and finance departments, the team keeps the project on budget and on schedule and ensures that our rigorous safety and quality standards are met. Construction also works closely with the Sales and Legal departments to ensure that each wind farm delivers the highest energy yield within the client's specification.
Responsibilities
As Manager Project Documentation in the Construction Project Support department you build and lead the high performing team who is responsible for project documentation. The team consists of employees who are responsible for; supporting during the sales negotiation phase, creating and compiling customer documentation, ensuring the documentation is in line with local conditions and customer requirements.
Furthermore, the tasks will be:
- Functional and disciplinary leadership of the team
- Continuous development of expertise and career track of the employees through contemporary leadership
- Performance measurement and management of the team with defined KPIs, targets, regular reviews and definition of strategies/counter-measures
- Defining and improving set up of project documentation department
- Budgeting, short and mid-term target setting and continuous forecasting of team results (in line with NCE Construction targets)
- Drive improvement projects and process improvements within the construction department
- Adapt to and prepare team, processes and tools for changing market conditions and market requirements
Qualifications
We believe you have:
- BS or MS within economics, commercial or a technical field
- Several years of experience from a position within project documentation, project coordination or project management in large industrial or construction companies
- Experience in people management and leadership in an international company, preferably within the industrial or construction business
- Fluent command of English, good command of local language is an advantage, further language skills preferred (e. g. German)
- Ability to analyse a construction contract or equivalent
- Cross cultural insight and understanding
- Driver's license
