We are now looking for a Material Engineer with experience!
Description
The Material Engineering & Lab Quality Team within System Integration & Testing Operations that you will be part of is included in Engineering Operations Technical Development Organization.
We are building up our Material Engineering Team consisting of - material experts of the various materials and production processes that are used in our vehicles. Material Engineering manages all material related issues from product development - requirements setting, material selection and verification in development projects, production, product life and product end of life.
We work in an agile organization, where teamwork, empowered self-organizing teams and quick learning cycles is a key to success. Thus, you need to be a good team player and continuously strive to make the team successful. You will be working in an interesting workplace with open-minded colleagues and a problem solution oriented atmosphere. As a Surface Treatment and Corrosion expert, you will cooperate closely with our Design, and Test, Production and Quality departments. You will also have external contacts outside Nevs within your work field.
The role involves:
- Be responsible for product requirements and verification methods for surface treatment and corrosion.
- In cooperation with design and production review design models to minimize corrosion risks.
- Support Design and Test Engineers and Production with surface treatment and corrosion competence.
- Plan quality assurance of surface treatment solutions and perform in-house corrosion testing.
- Solve Surface Treatment and Corrosion related technical problems that arise in projects, in production and during product life.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Relevant experience within Surface Treatment and Corrosion work field
- Material, surface treatment and corrosion testing knowledge.
- University Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Driver license B.
- English, both spoken and written.
Background in Automotive is a merit.
To be successful in this role, you need to:
- Manage assignment by yourself in structured and agile environments and be able to take decisions on a daily basis.
- Be problem solving, action-orientated, creative and open minded.
- Have the capability to handle multiple tasks at the same time and deliver on time.
- Have good communications skills.
