In Base Materials, part of our Supply Chain Organization, we continuously strive to adapt and improve our global supply chains in collaboration with our suppliers and converting factories.
We enable the Development & Engineering organization to drive successful innovation studies & projects with our existing and new base materials suppliers via strong relationship management, supplier scouting, intellectual property and developmental agreement negotiation, solid contracting & stewardship so that they can focus on the technical challenges.
In this role, you will report to the Director Procurement Foil, Ink & Future Base Materials as well as to the Director Procurement Polymers & Films. You will be based in Lund, Sweden, and spend an estimated 20% of your time traveling to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
What you will do
As our new Procurement Manager Future Base Materials & Polymers you will:
-Lead key supplier commercial relationships and drive strategic initiatives including negotiations, contract-life-cycle management.
-Drive internal stakeholder alignment with Development & Engineering, PMCO, SCO Additional Materials, and within SCO Base Materials to achieve strategic goals covering quality, cost, cash, service & sustainability.
-Align internal and external stakeholders on how to approach innovation scouting. Lead supplier management as well as implementation of developmental, licensing or intellectual property sharing agreements. Ensure on-boarding and transition of new suppliers to Supply Chain Operations Base Materials team.
Who you are
As a person, you have demonstrated excellent communication skills and you have a proven your ability to manage internal and external relationships in a collaborative and successful manner. You have a strong drive for results and processes with hands on experience of executing changes in a global environment. You can deal with ambiguity & continuous change in terms of work scope and challenges identified.
You possess a university background and have at least 5 - 8 years' experience in an international environment. Knowledge in the packaging industry is a plus. A strategic sourcing / supplier management background, including negotiations at executive level, and good business acumen will be needed.
A very good command of English, both written and oral is required.
