Supplier Quality Engineer for Supply Management Mechanics

Your role



As supplier Quality engineer, you will be part the Supply Management Mechanics team within the Sourcing and Supply organization in Surveillance Gothenburg. The department contains 13 persons working with strategic and operative purchasing, supplier industrialization and mechanic component technology. You will work closely together in Supplier Teams as well with engineering and quality management. You will work with supplier quality, supplier development, supplier audits and handling of quality claims. A part of the job is to handle supplier audits in both Sweden and other countries.
The work consist of both strategical and operative parts, you are expected to contribute with business interest and commitment that stretch beyond your work scope.



In your role, you are expected to contribute and be responsible for the following:

* Manage supplier audit planning and perform activities such as audits and qualifications at supplier in order to ensure their ability as well as qualify process, product quality and delivery capability at supplier's production site
* All supplier performance activities across all functional teams within Surveillance, both in ongoing production programs as well as in supplier development programs
* Work proactive with risk mitigations and preventive improvements in close cooperation both internally and with our suppliers
* Identify and communicate relevant requirements in the supply chain and preparation of inbound processes; covering risk areas related to products quality and delivery capability
* Manage supplier deviations with strong focus in improvements, by challenge and support suppliers in defining and implementing preventive actions
* Work on a global supplier market in close relation with suppliers



Your Profile



In the job with supplier quality, you will manage your own work and take responsibility. The responsibility is to secure and follow up the requirement for the suppliers from a quality perspective but also to develop and contribute to our operation. You are used to working to reach set targets. The work involves cooperation with many people both internal and external therefore it is important you are perceptive and engaged to have good relations. The work require that you are structured and have an analytical mindset. In this role you need to be available for travelling on-site visits to the suppliers.



We also assume you have:

* Deep knowledge within quality assurance and knowledge in supplier audits quality tools and processes such as root cause analysis, capability analysis, risk analysis, 8D etc.
* An appropriate professional or postgraduate qualification
* Strong business understanding, customer focus and skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions
* A strong drive, creativity and ability to generate energy
* Proven ability and interest in teamwork, be active in developing and challenging the organization and to support cross-functional ways of working
* Well oriented in Management systems, Code of conduct, Business Continuity Management etc.
* A drive and engagement for quality.
* Easy to express yourself orally and written, both in Swedish and English.
